What is CB Passive Income
CB Passive Income is an email marketing system created by Patric Chan, a veteran online marketer, who found success early on in affiliate marketing.
The system promises to generate an online income for you without doing any of the hard work of building and maintaining a website or marketing campaign yourself.
This is done by allowing you to clone Patric’s own system that promotes other ClickBank products.
All you supposedly need to do is drive traffic to the landing page he has created and he will do the rest for you.
The idea is to entice people to subscribe to an email list by giving away his free products and training courses. Patric’s team will then send out emails to the subscribers and do the promoting and selling for you.
At the end of the day, you get to keep all the commissions he generates for you.
Sounds too good to be true? Let’s find out more..
Can You Really Make Money Online Easily With CB Passive Income?
Firstly, in terms of credibility, Patric Chan is indeed somewhat of a success story within the internet marketing scene with good earnings track record. He has also co-authored a book called Clicking Cash with Robert G. Allen, a New York Times best-selling author of Multiple Streams of Income, Nothing Down, One Minute Millionaire, Cracking The Millionaire Code, Cash In A Flash and many others.
However, when it comes to CB Passive Income, Patric makes huge claims by basically saying you don’t even need to know what internet marketing is to make money from his system.
He claims that with the program, you do not need to do anything except “one simple task”, and that is to drive traffic to the landing page.
On the surface, what CB Passive Income offers seem like a very attractive product, especially to someone new to internet marketing, given the supposedly minimal back end work that you need to do.
However, that is only half the work done, because guess what the other half and just as important task is? You guessed it… it’s driving traffic to your site!
Generating traffic to your website is no simple task at all. In fact, it is one of the hardest aspects of internet marketing.
Again, the sales page emphasizes a lot on just needing to give away free products and it will work magically. This is oversimplified, and borderline misleading, especially to people who are new to internet marketing and do not understand traffic.
You Have No Control Over the Leads You Generate
Let’s say you know a thing or two about generating traffic and you successfully get people to opt in to the email list. What happens next is that the system will then take over and run it for you. Essentially you will have no control over your own leads.
Furthermore, the system leverages Patric’s name which is plastered all over the emails and products you give out. In other words, you are building his authority within the market, while you remain unknown.
As we all know, to be a successful internet marketing entrepreneur, you need to have your own list. And more importantly, you need to build a relationship with your subscribers. With this system, you give that opportunity up.
How CB Passive Income Works
The system is actually a typical affiliate marketing model, where you drive traffic to the clone landing pages (he calls it your “secret webpages”) and entice people to sign up using their email addresses by offering Patric’s products and training courses.
Once subscribers join the email list, the system would take over the process by sending out a series of emails to follow up and engage with the subscribers. Within each email, they will be promoting products (all from ClickBank.com) with your affiliate links, and if a subscriber makes a purchase the commission goes entirely to you.
The first thing you do after logging in for the first time is to fill in your details, particularly your ClickBank ID, so that the system will be able to generate your affiliate links as they send out emails.
You will then be required to choose one of seven clone landing pages to drive traffic to.
Once your “secret webpage” is set up, you will promote and send traffic to the opt-in page using free and paid traffic, and the system handles the email marketing.
Each opt-in page offers a different product to get people to subscribe to your email list. These products are mostly free books, webinars, training courses or free software.
Patric will then send out emails to your subscribers that contain product promotions using your affiliate link.
Whenever a sale is made, you get the full commissions.
Inbox Pro Version – $97
As you know by now, what the system really does is make sales using the leads you generate. However, those aren’t really your leads because you will have no control over the subscribers, as they are managed by the system.
What the Inbox Pro offers is when visitors initially subscribe, they will be added into 2 separate lists:
1. Into the CB Passive Income’s list where they will do the monetizing for you
2. Into your own autoresponder so that you have your own separate list, where you can engage and build a rapport with them and promote other products to them.
Mass Bot Profits – $99
This upsell helps you market on Facebook Messenger. You basically need to get your prospects on Facebook Messenger Chat and the system promotes your offers to them on automation.
The Bot creates engagement by automatically responding to your prospects on the chat.
The software includes bot funnels, mass broadcast and FB inbox autoresponder.
The training offered by CB Passive Income mainly shows you how to get traffic using paid sources which are Solo Ads and Bing ads and free traffic through YouTube.
However, these are rather basic training courses and can be easily obtained through a quick search online.
What most people may not realize is getting traffic through these methods may not be as easy as they make it to be. You will potentially need to spend a lot of time and money before you get it right. There are people who have spent thousands on solo ads and PPCs and have not gotten much result.
The Good & The Bad
It’s a Legit System
The system does what it says and you do not have to worry about marketing and selling of products. Patric is an experienced marketer and knows how to write emails that sells. Furthermore, Patric is already a well-known marketer and therefore has a great deal of credibility.
30-day 100% Money Back Guarantee
Being part of ClickBank, this is pretty standard. You basically have nothing to lose with a money-back guarantee. Just bear in mind that some vendors require you give them a legit reason for requesting your money back.
Profit Is Not Guaranteed And Will Not Come As Easy As It Sounds
As mentioned, despite having the whole system set up for you, you are still left with the hardest part to do, which is driving traffic. Furthermore, there is a risk that the traffic that you get may not be responsive to the Patric’s email marketing, hence zero sales.
No Control Over Your Own Email List
Again, you are basically generating a list that you have no control over and have to rely solely on Patric to generate sales for you. In order to have your own list, you need to purchase Inbox Pro Version for $97, as well as getting an Autoresponder which would set you back by another $20 to $30 per month.
Paid Traffic Can Be Expensive
The only viable way to generate traffic for the system is through paid traffic, as getting free traffic is extremely difficult when you do not have a proper website or business of your own. You can potentially rack up thousands of dollars in bills for paid traffic when it comes to PPC or solo ads.
Same Opt-In Pages Used By Everyone In The System
As everyone who purchase the system will be using the same landing pages and free gifts made by Patric’s team, this can quickly become saturated. You will be competing with others who are doing exactly same thing as you, and there is no way you can differentiate yourself from the others.
Conclusion – Is CB Passive Income Recommended?
The answer is no.
Although Patric has done a good job that automates most of the work for you, you’re still left with the hardest thing to do which is to generate traffic.
As the system is marketed to beginners, inexperienced marketers may have a hard time getting the RIGHT traffic for the business. As a result, this system may not be as lucrative as it seems.
What Is Better Than CB Passive Income?
I always believe in having a solid foundation if you are serious in building an online business that is not only sustainable, but will continue to grow organically.
And that requires proper training courses and tools to help you succeed.
My number one recommendation for building a solid foundation in internet marketing is Wealthy Affiliate.
Wealthy Affiliate is a comprehensive platform that offers just about everything you need to have a thriving affiliate marketing business.
It provides step-by-step training on absolutely everything you need to know and do exactly from scratch, with weekly live classes (and hundreds of hours of past live class replays).
Additionally, the platform has a responsive community of tens of thousands other affiliate marketers on the platform, support and coaching and live chat with other members.
The support system and lesson features on the platform is the best I’ve seen so far, and this alone is worth checking the platform out.
Wealthy Affiliate also features state-of-the-art website building and hosting tools, and a keyword research platform.
All these for a very reasonable price of $49 per month ($19 for your first month).
I have done a pretty comprehensive review on Wealthy Affiliate on what the platform is all about and what it offers. Check it out here.
