The Commission League Review – Read This Before Purchasing

The Commission League (TCL) is another ClickBank product which promises to automate the process of starting an affiliate marketing and earn up to $1000 a day working as little as 20 minutes.

In this review of The Commission League, I will share with you what TCL actually does and whether it is a good product for you to start earning some solid income online, especially if you are a beginner in affiliate marketing.

The Commission League Review Summary

Name: The Commission League
Product Type: Affiliate Marketing System
Price: $997
Owners: Mike Balmaceda
Overall Rank: 28 out of 100

Recommended: No

The Commission League is a done-for-you affiliate marketing system that uses email marketing. Most of the work will be done for you such as creating an email opt-in page and auto-generated emails to be sent to your subscribers.

It also comes with several cool features including a free email autoresponder, page builder and free leads for you to start with.

However, the main traffic generation method taught here is buying solo ads, which comes with a lot of risks especially for beginners who have no experience doing this and have little money to spend on traffic.

Another big drawback is the high price of this product. There are better products that helps you achieve success without breaking the bank, such as this one.

For those reasons, I do not recommend The Commission League, especially if you are just getting started.

What is The Commission League

The Commission League is an affiliate marketing system created to automate most of the processes and the owner claims you only need to spend as little as 20 minutes to potentially earn $200 to $1000 a day.

The product is mainly marketed to people who are beginners who has made little to no money in affiliate marketing.

The product was created by Mike Balmaceda and his three other partners, John, Justin and Steve.

The Commission League Creators

If you have spent some time in the online marketing world, you may have come across his name in the other successful products he has created, such as Six Figure Success Academy and Amplify.

How The Commission League Works

The Commission League works like most other ClickBank products that focus on email marketing. There is nothing new or special about this system.

ClickBank is one of the largest affiliate marketing network platforms which allow product creators to list their products to sell and affiliate marketers to promote these products.

In a nutshell, this is a done-for-you system that automates the process of building a mailing list and generating emails to be sent out to your subscribers.

The main method that TCL teaches to generate traffic is through solo ads.

The Commission League Process

The idea is to pay other mailing list owners to send their subscribers to your squeeze page (referred by them as the “sandwich page”), where there will be an opt-in option to subscribe to your mailing list too.

The Commission League Opt-in Page

From there, the system has a software that creates 50 follow-up emails to engage with your subscribers and to promote affiliate products.

The Commission League teaches you how to identify hot niches (such as health, wealth and relationship) and high converting affiliate products with high commission within each niche, mainly on ClickBank.

What Will You Be Getting Inside The Commission League

The Training

The Platform Layout

Within the TCL platform, you will be able to access the blueprint that goes to explain how the system works, how to find great products on ClickBank to promote and how to purchase solo ads through the platform.

It also briefly explains some free methods to generate traffic, although these aren’t the main focus of TCL.

Done-For-You Squeeze Page Builder

The system builds the squeeze page for you with a one-click button. All you have to do is paste in your affiliate link.

However, the problem with done-for-you pages is that these pages will look identical to pages of other people who are using the same system.

This could potentially lead to lower conversion and opt-in rates when the solo ads traffic you purchase have been sent to other members’ squeeze pages before.

Something for you to consider.

A Free Autoresponder

TCL comes with a free email autoresponder that is integrated to your squeeze page.

This is actually a good tool to have when you get started, as a good autoresponder can be quite expensive.

1,000 Free Leads Injected Into Your Autoresponder

As a bonus, you will be getting 1,000 pre-qualified leads to get started with. This way, you can get started right away without spending any additional money.

However, these could very well be leads from “tired email lists” (email lists which have been bombarded with tons of offers and opportunities), resulting in low conversion rates.

50 Pre-Built Follow-Up Emails

The follow-up emails allow you to continue to engage with your subscribers after they get into your list. The purpose is to provide them value and build rapport through these emails before you start promoting offers on them.

These follow-up emails are generated by a copywriting software, so that they are unique and no two emails are the same.

Purchase Solo Ads Through The System

The system allows you to purchase more leads by paying for solo ads through TCL.

This is the main source of traffic taught within the system.

Higher Commission Rate With The Commission League Partnership

As a member of TCL, you can promote TCL with a commission rate of 60% vs. the usual 40% if you are not a member.

Support

You get access to a 24/7 tech support and fairly large community to help you out if you come across any issues.

How Much Does The Commission League Cost?

The system costs a one-time fee of $997.

You can also opt for 2 installments of $547.

Who is The Commission League For?

The Commission League is created mainly for beginners who have not made much money from affiliate marketing.

The system supposedly does most of the hard work for you, so that all you need to focus on is drive traffic to your “sandwich page”.

However, as mentioned above, I do not think paying for solo ads is a good place to start, as you could be spending a large amount of money on them before you start seeing results.

In my opinion, a better alternative for beginners who are serious about starting a successful and long-lasting affiliate marketing business is by getting the proper training to build a strong foundation. This includes learning how to create an authoritative presence within your niche to drive free organic traffic to your website through search engine optimization (SEO).

The Good & the Bad

The Good:

Legit method of doing affiliate marketing
Paying for solo ads to drive traffic to your opt-in page is a common way to earn money from affiliate marketing. Many people have found huge success through this method.

However, this isn’t for everyone (especially beginners), as you could potentially be spending a large amount of money before you start seeing results.

Many tools to help you get started
The tools that come with TCL, such as a page-builder, email writing software and free autoresponder are great as they can save you hundreds of dollars in subscriptions.

However, there have been feedback that the autoresponder that they provide has been facing ongoing issues and they have been unable to fix it, resulting in them recommending a paid autoresponder instead.

The Bad:

Very Expensive
Although many aspects of the business are done for you, the price tag of $997 is still very high when you compare it to other systems out there. On top of that, you will also need to spend more money on solo ads to drive traffic to your opt-in page, which could go up to hundreds of dollars.

30-day “Success Guarantee” is not a straight-forward refund policy
The Commission League comes with a 30-day “Success Guarantee”, which isn’t the usual “no questions asked” guarantee.

This means that you need to meet All their requirements (stated below) within 30 days:

  • Requirement 1: View 100% of their videos
  • Requirement 2: Create sandwich pages for at least 2 offers
  • Requirement 3: Must have sent at least 300 clicks of free or paid traffic to your offers
  • Requirement 4: Must have emailed the free lists that they provide at least twice with your chosen offer

Once you have met these requirements and written to them within 30 days, they will coach you until you make at least $3,000. They will only refund you if you are unable to get results after following their steps.

Here’s the catch. Not many people will be able to meet these onerous requirements within 30 days. Secondly, the guaranteed $3,000 is gross revenue, which does not take into account how much you spend to generate the traffic to make that $3,000.

Solo Ads Traffic Are Low-Converting
Solo ads traffic are known to be of low quality, even if you purchase them from good vendors, which results in low conversion rates.

The main reason is that these vendors’ lists are constantly being bombarded by emails that are always promoting something to them.

These subscribers receive hundreds of emails a week containing offer and over time, they become desensitized to these kinds of emails – something I refer to as “tired traffic”.

This problem is further compounded by TCL members purchasing solo ads from the same vendors through the platform, who send traffic to similar-looking pre-built “sandwich pages”.

My Final Opinion of The Commission League

On the surface, The Commission League seems like a pretty solid done-for-you system at first, especially with good bonuses such as free tools and leads to get you started.

However, beyond that, generating traffic through solo ads posts a big risk of getting low quality leads and may result in you spending a lot of money before you start seeing the results they promise.

My final verdict is although The Commission League is a legit product, I DO NOT recommend it, especially for beginners.

What Is Better Than The Commission League

A better way to build a successful and sustainable affiliate marketing business is by building a strong presence and authority within your chosen niche which leads to high organic traffic to your website through SEO.

Although it requires a little more effort on your part, this is truly a sustainable way to build a profitable passive income for you.

As such, I highly recommend you check out my top recommended affiliate marketing program, which provides you with step-by-step training so that you know how to build a successful business from scratch.

The platform also comes with all the tools and resources you need to build up your business such as great web hosting, keyword research tool, and a huge supportive community.

On top of that, it is priced at a more affordable range and is definitely budget-friendly for beginners who are just starting out and don’t have a lot of money to spend yet.

  1. My opinion is that the Commission League may be worth checking out if a person is not interested in building a website and then creating enough content to get organic traffic from search engines. This would be especially true if they are poor writing, know nothing about copywriting, and, in general, hating writing.  There are lots of ways to get traffic to sandwich (squeeze or landing) pages other than solo ads. It would be better than TCL explain traffic options rather promoting their paid ad services.

    • I agree with you that programs like these are attractive to people who aren’t good at writing. But people should be aware of all the additional and hidden costs on top of the price to purchase these programs. And these can add up significantly. Furthermore, I always believe that if you can have a conversation with someone, you can write a blog. It doesn’t need to look professionally written. It just needs to convey the message and people benefiting from it. Thanks for your comment Glen!

  2. Great and educating review about the commission league. Price of $997 sounds pretty high for me, I would like to
get much more to pay such of a high amount of money. Also, I fully agree that solo ads are not that high converting.
Getting huge amount of emails, even hundreds, makes most people get suspicious and/or to forgive it up before even trying. I have found working, a relatively cheap and honest platform with lots of training. But for people who are still seeking for it, it’s nice to have such good information as your site and its reviews offer. Thanks for that!

  3. Thank you for this thorough review. I’ve wondered about the Commission League, but I’m someone who takes great pride in building something for myself. This sounds like I would just be throwing money at Commission League to generate an income. I think I’ll check out your other affiliate recommendation — I like the idea of building a sustainable business model and learning more about SEO. Thank you.

    • Yes you’re right, Jackie. And there are no guarantees that you will generate an income immediately after paying for traffic. That’s just not how paid traffic works. Thanks for your feedback.

  4. Don’t pay this course because these 4 guys do not honor the 30 days refund. I can tell because I paid it in full when I asked them for a refund within the 30 days period, they ignored all my emails. There are a lot of problems on the autoresponder that they are using. They used sendshark but they got rid of it and now they use sendeagle and as of today sendeagle is still down. Don’t trust those 4 guys, if they don’t honor their words, I might as well call them scammers.

    • Thanks for letting us know, Bill. I’m sorry this happened. Perhaps you can try writing in to ClickBank to ask them to mediate this situation for you, as they do take their refund policy quite seriously. Do let me know know how this goes.

      • Also I need to comment that these 4 guys are very smart in diverting your attention from proper refunds. Normally people think there is only one refund and that is through Clickbank. So if you see a logo that says 30 day money back guarantee, you assume that is the case.

How do they keep people from getting refunds of their program?
Their tricky way they do it is to put 2 refunds on the same page as the image of payment page shown below
        https://ibb.co/MZ3fSNc

        1) A 30 day money back guarantee near the bottom right of the payment page
        2) A 7 day money back guarantee from Clickbank JUST BELOW the 30 day money back guarantee.

So that makes you think you have 30 day money back from the first day of purchase. No DEAD WRONG you only get a 7 day money back guarantee from Clickbank

I asked Clickbank staff and she told me this:

        Hello,

Thank you for your reply. The link you provided shows the two different payment options. The first for a one time payment and the second for a two-part payment that will bill the first payment today and the second payment 30 days from today.

TWO INVESTMENTS OF $547 FLEXIBLE PAYMENTS
        Pay $547 Today…
Then The Final Payment Of $547,
        30 Days From Today.

This is not a refund time, but the notice of a second billing.

At this time, we do have a support ticket to the vendor requesting authorization to refund the order on your behalf.

My conclusion is this : find the Clickbank guarantee statement FIRST among all future Clickbank products, there might be multiple (more than 2) guarantees all over the payment page in future because they want to find suckers and keep them getting their refunds. It is hard for me to buy anything from these 4 people. I have to put them into my trash email address – that collects all the junk mail mostly deleted when I open it.

Actually I don’t even want to buy any Clickbank products because a lot of all these affiliate products if they become useful, will eventually be integrated into the mainstream e.g there was a product called 8point a decade ago, it was about video-conferencing on computers – very slow but all the cell phones nowadays can do face-to-face chat if you want.

  5. Well, I can say your review is spot on but here are a few other elements. They are not actually offering a money back guarantee. What they offer is guarantee to make $3000 or they will coach you until you do. I’d also add if you follow there step by step plan you won’t even be set up to attempt to drive traffic for 3 weeks and it seems all the tools to actually stand a chance at success require up sells to either inner circle which is $197 a month or their platinum level coaching with vip support and extra 10,000 leads. The catch here is they don’t recommend you add their leads until you have generated like number by other means. Also as previously mentioned the autoresponder they give you to start, SendEagle seems to be a disaster and many of the users in their FB group have reported the same ongoing issues and now they are saying its a third party issue beyond their control and recommending a paid service like Get Response but their training videos are a step by step for SE still. Seems they are piecing this together on the fly and making exaggerated claims. I have yet to see evidence. Of anyone’s success in the FB group. Oh and I paid for the upgrade service in an installment but luckily 2nd payment didn’t go through due to CC issues. I actually tried contacting them for several weeks to rectify this and to see about extending the coaching since their were so many delays and hang ups but the only response I got was to rejoin the IC which I had just been told was part of the platinum, then after I clarified was told they would get back to me…that was 3 weeks ago. Hopefully others can learn from my mistake and avoid this money pit.

    • Thanks Jeff for the reply, I do not recommend the TCL team. I remember the inner circle is $297 a month and when I was on the free trial, I did not feel worth it when listening to the videos (no visuals), so I cancelled it. While we are exchanging our scares of pain and deception, others are making good $$$ from advice of free social media videos!!! I suggest you get off their mailing list because they have aggressive email campaigns just like the rest of the email marketers. I normally do not have good outcomes of other recommendations if the first product I bought from a person (or team) was unsuccessful or problematic

    Hi Bill,
I understand your frustration, and we are well aware of the problems that Send Eagle is presenting, I can assure you that we are working on a better solution for our autoresponder that we will be implementing next year, and we work on our program everyday to make it better cause we like to only deliver the best, and we are working to get there.

I want you to let you know that we are willing to refund you. I just wanted to let you know first about the changes that we are implementing next year regarding Send Eagle. Also, if you go to our FB group you can read so many success stories, and that person can be you, so don’t get discourage for a problem that will be solve.

Anyways, if you want me to continue with your refund let me know.

Also, I want to introduce myself, my name is Ilse, and I’m the person in-charge of support, I’ll be here for any questions you might have.

    • Hi Bill,

I’m glad you managed to get your refund after all. At the end of the day, we should always be wary when someone says making money online doesn’t require effort or risks (especially when it comes to paid traffic) on our part. It’s always better to go with a system or program with a good track record.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you too.

      Regards,
      Joe
