12 Minute Affiliate is marketed as a product that you can set up and make money in as little as 12 minutes.

Can you actually start making money in as little as 12 minutes? Absolutely not!

While the idea behind the system sounds good and it does a good job in automating the email marketing campaign for you, the sales pitch is very gimmicky and honestly quite misleading.

The number one problem with 12 Minute Affiliate is that you will be using the same done-for-you sales funnel and emails as everyone else who purchase this product. On top of that, you will be promoting these same sales funnels and emails to the same done-for-you traffic source, and thus compounding the competition.

The done-for-you solo ads traffic is not the most effective method to get visitors as they tend to be low-converting.

Overall, the strategy is to cast a wide net and try to score some sales, by paying a lot for solo ads traffic, where you can end up spending a lot of money, even up to thousands before you start seeing real results.

Read on to get a better understanding the problems behind this seemingly great money-making system.

What Is The 12 Minute Affiliate System?

12 Minute Affiliate is an affiliate marketing system with done-for-you sales funnels (landing pages), pre-written email sequences and paid traffic sources.

It is designed to be a simple plug-and-play system which you can supposedly set up and make money in as little as 12 minutes.

Devon Brown claims that he is making up to $900 per day in affiliate commissions and you can easily replicate his success by purchasing his system.

What is 12 Minute Affiliate

How 12 Minute Affiliate Works

12 Minute Affiliate has pre-made sales pages and emails for 3 niches:

  • Weight Loss
  • Home Business/Make Money Online
  • Personal Development

The sales funnels and emails are created specifically for these niches so you will not have the option to select any other niches. These 3 niches are chosen because they are huge and very profitable niches, with tons of products to promote.

If you sign up for the Basic Account ($47 per month after the trial period), you will only be able to pick one niche.

But if you go with the Gold Account ($97 per month after the trial period), you will have access to all three niches.

Basic and Gold AccountThe entire system can be broken down into 3 steps.

Step 1 – Setting Up The System

When you first log in to the platform, you will be presented with a checklist. These basically tell you to create and set up your account with ClickBank, as well as getting and setting up an auto-responder.

If you don’t know what ClickBank is, it’s basically one of the largest affiliate marketing network platforms which allow product creators to sell their products and affiliate marketers to promote these products.

Setting Up The System

Next you will need to select your and personalize your sales funnels.

Selecting a Sales Funnel
There is also a clever upsell to set everything up for you for $67, if you do not want to go through the hassle of doing it yourself.

Step 2 – Get Your Visitors Through Solo Ads

Once you have everything up and running, the next step is to get visitors to go to your landing pages and provide you their email addresses in your opt in form.

You can order a done-for-you traffic within the platform. These are basically solo ads where the sellers have been vetted and identified to provide top-tier traffic (people with high purchasing power).

Done-For-You Solo Ads Traffic

Solo ads is a form of marketing where you pay a person who already has a large email subscriber list in your niche to promote an offer and direct the subscribers to your landing page.

You usually pay for the number of clicks you want based on your budget, and they can be anywhere from $0.20 to $3 per click depending on the reputation of the seller.

Step 3 – The System Follows Up On The Leads Through An Email Sequence

Once people opt into your email list, they will start receiving emails from the system. This is an automated process, where the system sends them pre-written emails to promote products with your affiliate links in them.

Every time someone clicks on your affiliate link to purchase a product, you will get a commission.

Sounds Easy Enough.. But Here’s The Problem!

Problem #1: You Are Buying A Duplicated System

By now, there could be hundreds, if not thousands, of people using this product. And everyone using this system will have the same sales funnels and email sequences, promoting the same products that are pre-selected by the 12 Minute Affiliate.

On top of that, everyone on the system is even selling to the same people if they purchase the “done-for-you” traffic from the same sources provided within 12 Minute Affiliate.

Problem #2: Solo Ads Traffic Is Low Quality Traffic

So, here’s the truth about solo ads. Solo ads sellers “sell” their lists for a living, meaning they earn money by emailing other people’s promotions to their list of subscribers.

Solo ads traffic are known to be of low quality, even if you purchase them from good vendors. Click-through and conversion rates are normally very low.

And here’s the reason why. The people on these solo ads vendors’ list are constantly being bombarded by emails, where almost all of them contain some sort of promotion or offer.

Depending on how long the subscribers are on these lists and how many other lists they subscribe to, they would have literally seen hundreds, if not thousands, of emails trying to sell them something. Over time, they become desensitized to these emails, something I refer to as “tired traffic”.

You further compound the problem by getting traffic from pre-selected solo ads vendors in the system.

Everyone on 12 Minute Affiliate will be ordering solo ads from the same vendors and their subscribers would have literally seen the exact same offers, same landing pages, same email sequence and promoting the exact same products!

Let’s take a second to think about what this means for conversions?

How likely will someone who has gotten into your sales funnel actually buy from you when they are in the exact same funnel of many others who are using 12 Minute Affiliate?

I think we can safely say that the answer to that is PRETTY LOW!

Plus there are no guarantees! Solo ads is based entirely on trust. You have no control over what type of traffic you will receive on your landing page (if they are suitable for your niche) or if the clicks are even real!

The people behind 12 Minute Affiliate are aware of this. They have even put a disclaimer saying that while the amounts of clicks can be guaranteed (meaning the number of people directed to your landing page), they cannot guarantee that these people will actually opt in to provide their email addresses to you.

Solo Ads Disclaimer
Which brings us to the next point…

Problem #3: This Is A Volume Game –

With the understanding you now have of the 2 problems mentioned above, the next problem you will face if you purchase 12 Minute Affiliate is that you will potentially need to spend a large amount of money on solo ads to start seeing results.

Essentially, all you’re going to be doing is casting a wide net and hoping to score some sales.

This is not an efficient way to get traffic, especially with the competition you are now facing against other members of 12 Minute Affiliate and it can end up being very expensive for you.

One thing you see in the product sales videos and pages are testimonials of people getting leads and sales. But they never mentioned the amount of money spent on solo ads to acquire them.

How Much Does 12 Minute Affiliate Cost?

The pricing for 12 Minute Affiliate starts off with $9.95 for a 14-day trial, for either the Basic or Gold account.

Thereafter, it costs $47 per month for the Basic account which gives you access to one niche, or $97 a month for the Gold account where you will have access to all 3 niches in the system.

There is also the option to go for a one time payment for lifetime access and that is $397 for the Basic account and $797 for the Gold account.

There are 2 upsells here.

The second upsell is the $67 done-for-you set up of all your accounts that I’ve mentioned above.

Price Structure

The Good & the Bad

The Good:

It is a legit method of doing affiliate marketing
At the end of the day, paying for solo ads to drive traffic to your opt in page and then sell to them through email marketing is a very legitimate way for making money online. Some people have found success through this method.

However, I do not recommend it for beginners as you need to know what you are doing to avoid burning a hole through your pocket!

60 days money-back guarantee
12 Minute Affiliate comes with a money-back guarantee. So, if you decide to give it a try anyway, you can always ask for your money back if you don’t like it.

The Bad:

Sales pitch is misleading
The sales video and sales page makes it look very easy to earn money through their automated system. Devon Brown says he earns up to $900 a day using the system.

Now firstly, Devon is an experienced online marketer and has been doing this for many years. So he’s actually good at it.

Secondly, he doesn’t share how much he spends on solo ads to generate the commissions he shows you. It could be hundreds or even thousands of dollars. We are not even sure if it is profitable in the first place.

Not recommended for beginners
I do not recommend paid traffic right away for people who are just starting out in affiliate marketing unless you are prepared to throw in thousands of dollars. It is highly unlikely to work out if you are thinking of just testing it out with a small amount, or only have a small budget to start, such as $50.

Again, this system is all about casting a wide net, so you may need to purchase solo ads a few times before you start seeing lead conversions or even sales.

There is a better way to start in affiliate marketing and that is to learn how to generate free traffic through SEO. It requires more time and real effort but it is a truly powerful way to build a sustainable online income source.

Additional costs on top of the monthly fee
When you purchase this product, you are not just paying for the monthly fee to use the system. You will also need to subscribe to an email auto-responder service, which costs about $20 usually. On top of that, the biggest cost of all would be the solo ads itself.

My Final Opinion of 12 Minute Affiliate

On the surface, 12 Minute Affiliate seems like a pretty straight forward done-for-you system where there is not much figuring out left to do. This is true in that all you need to do on your part is purchase solo ads and drive traffic to your landing page and the system takes care of the rest.

However, as mentioned above, the biggest risk for me is that you may not get leads or conversions as easily as you would expect from an automated system.

And the two reasons are:

  • You may get low quality and low converting traffic from solo ads
  • Because you are using a pre-made standardized done-for-you system, you are competing with many others using the same system with the same sales funnels and email sequence.

My final verdict is while this product is not a scam, I Do Not recommend it, especially for beginners.

What is better than 12 Minute Affiliate

  1. Hi! I think I’m starting to distinguish legit sites from those that are misleading. I read the name of this site and I thought, this must be a hyped product, I know it’s impossible to make money as an affiliate in 12 minutes. And I nailed it. I don’t want to buy a duplicate product and depend on solo ads. I’ll give this 12 minute thing a pass.

    • HI Abel. Yes, most times these are over-hyped products. This isn’t a scam but I do find the promises pretty misleading. All the best in your affiliate marketing journey. Cheers.

  2. The adage “If it’s too good to be true, it probably is” totally applies here. A system that costs $10 and takes 12 minutes to set up with the prospect of making up to $900/day is a little overpromising.  Sadly, people get duped into these scams all the time, mostly out of desperation. Thank you for throwing this out in the open.
